Hints & tips
-
Just be honest and be yourself.
You need to be sure the role is right for you, as much as we need to see that you're right for the job.
-
Don't be afraid to ask....
We want people who are curious enough about the company and the role to ask some questions.
-
Do your research.
Use your initiative to find out about us. It shows motivation for T-Mobile and that you're not looking for any old job.
-
Don't be late.
Can't believe we're saying this? Neither can we, but we've had enough people who have been late to prompt us to say it. Figure out your route and allow plenty of time to park.
-
Sometimes it's better not to know the answer.
If you can't answer a question just say so, please don't make something up.
-
Don't try to be someone you're not.
Don't try and turn every question into proving how good you are. If someone asks you your development needs, they really need to know so that we don't hire you to do a job you can't do. It's about balance and being realistic as to who you are.
-
Try to answer the question.
Many people pre-prepare answers which demonstrate their strengths. Fine if it's relevant, it sounds terrible if it's not. Listen. Think. Answer.
-
Demonstrable experience.
It's great - in fact essential - to hear about the work you've done. So take some time to reflect on what you've done at work, so you can cite examples when answering questions. Just make sure they're relevant to the question.
